{Hair} My Hair Routine #2

I love reading posts like these so thought it was about time I posted an updated hair routine since I really love the products i'm using right now. (And i'm trying to avoid thinking about what I am going to cover with my students in the 4 hours of lessons left until their GCSE exam.)

In the shower:

I have been using the L'Oreal EverPure system for several months now and I love them! I've been using the Colour Care & Smoothing combination, but there are plenty of different combinations. They are SLS free, but that wasn't really an appeal to me, they just leave my hair really soft, and tangle-free when I get out the shower, and very few conditioners manage that.

Once a week I will use these 2, the Daddy-O shampoo by Lush is one of the best purple shampoo's I've come across, and doesn't leave my hair too dry as most purple shampoo's normally do. The L'Oreal EverStrong mask smells lovely and makes my hair soft and shiny without weighing it down, it also feels as if it's repairing it rather than just coating it in silicones.

After the shower:

I apply these two every time I wash my hair, regardless of the style I'm going to wear it in. I apply about a 10p sized amount of the Charles Worthington Hair Healer, mainly through the ends and then up to the roots. Then i'll comb through and apply half a pump of the Kerastase Elixir Ultime to the ends of my hair.

Then if i'm going to style my hair I use one of these two. I apply a pump of Redken Iron Repair if I am going to heat style my hair at all. Or if i'm going to use it natural and want waves I will use the L'Oreal PlayBall Beach Fizz spray all through the ends and length.

The tools:

If I want my hair to dry straight-ish then I will comb it, if I want waves then I don't brush it with anything other than my fingers. Then once my hair is dry then my Toni & Guy Paddle Brush is my favourite brush, it leaves my hair smooth and manages to get through all my tangles without too much pain.

The result:

Clearly this is my hair's best side! On the right are the waves from the L'Oreal spray, and on the left a day later, I was trying to capture the shine and smoothness my hair has, hopefully I succeeded.

xoxo

  1. I've seen that Kerastase Elixir around the blogs a lot recently - is it worth it? I have very dry ends and I'm wondering if it will help! Your hair looks so soft and shiny in the last photos though! xx
