So because I'm now too sleepy to do the blogs properly I'd thought I'd let you know what I'm planning to do in the next few days :)
Will blog more soon :)

CHI First Impressions
So this is what I received yesterday morning as my prize from Dressjunkie's competition on slapswap.com, check it out guys! It's a brilliant site!
Firstly I have to mention the smell of all the CHI products, I saw and heard people saying they smelt like a man but i didn't understand, I was like why would hair products smell of aftershave, but they really do! Is a bit odd but you get used to it and the smell doesn't stay on the hair for too long.
Infra Shampoo:
I like this, it took quite a bit to get a good lather in my hair but when I rinsed it off my hair felt really silky and not tangled, which i sometimes get with shampoo.
Infra Treatment:
I'm not too keen on this. I put it on my hair and left it on for a few minutes while I washed my face and body and then rinsed it off, I had expected the same soft and smooth feeling as when i washed off the shampoo but no. It felt ok, but nowhere near as moisturising as i'm used to and definitely not what i expect from something that they call a treatment. But when i came to comb through my hair I found no tangles and had no problems.
Silk Infusion:
I put a few drops of this in my hand, luckily I was prepared for it to be very runny, and then i just smoothed my hands through my hair, it spread very easily and i managed to get nice even coverage of all my hair.
I then let my hair air dry overnight. When I woke up this morning I ran my hands through my hair, it was tangle-free and quite soft, not as soft as usual though, and was a lot smoother than usual. My hair this morning has been a bit harder to comb than usual, there were no proper tangles but my comb just didn't go through as smooth as usual. I think this is probably because of the conditioner.
44 Iron Guard:
I love this stuff! I don't normally use heat protector sprays because i always seem to find that the spray is too fine and they leave my hair sticky or they take ages to dry, so i stick to serums or creams, but i truly love this! The smaller bottle size made it much easier to spray around my head, and the bottle gives a nice light spray which covers all the hair and doesn't leave you with just one very wet patch. It then dries very quickly and doesn't leave the hair sticky at all, it feels as if there's nothing on the hair. And then my straighteners glided through the hair without any problem.
My hair has a bit less shine than usual but after straightening is nice and smooth and tangle free. I'm definitely going to use the silk infusion and iron guard again next time with my normal shampoo and conditioner and see how they are then, but I think I'll keep the shampoo and conditioner to use for when I'm away as they're perfect small sizes.
Hope this was helpful

In and Out 10
In
Out
- 'New' straighteners - my best friend has just got GHDs so she said she'll give me her other straighteners, I love my GHDs but really want some with variable temperature because my hair is starting to feel quite dry after using my GHDs, if GHDs came with variable temperature then they'd be perfect!
- Twitter - everyone on Twitter has been great this week, I've been all alone in my house but haven't felt lonely at all, have been on Twitter and its been nice and busy and everyone has been lovely all week, so thank you everyone
- My 'teddy bear fleece' - I love this thing, its my dads but he gave it to me because I love it so much, its basically just a fleece but is teddy bear coloured and is really soft and fluffy like a teddy bear :) have been wearing it all day, its so cosy!
- CHI - I'm way behind on trying this but i'm very excited that i've finally got some of these products, I'm gonna do a post on my first impressions tomorrow
Out
- Mint toothpaste - I don't mind doing my teeth but hate that the minty taste in my mouth means if i drink anything after it tastes weird
- Thick hair - my hair takes forever to dry or style, i once waited 6 hours for my hair to dry before i gave up and got my hairdryer out, I can even go to bed and sometimes wake up with hair that's still not fully dry
- Cold weather - its got really cold again lately and today i've been tucked up in my thickest jumper all day
CHI Silk Infusion
I have just received a CHI Travel kit as my prize from the lovely dressjunkie (click here for a link to her blog). It has the Infra Shampoo, Infra Conditioner, 44 Iron Guard, and Silk Infusion.
I'm so excited to finally be able to try the silk infusion, I just know I'm going to love it! But was wondering how everyone uses it, do you put it on wet hair or dry or both? I'll probably have a play with it but would love to know how you all use it :)
Have a good day

March favourites
I wanted to do a blog of my favourite things and thought I'd make it my March favourites and try and do one monthly!
- MAC MSF Natural and shimmer - I've recently starting loving this, and I'm glad that I have the one with the small section of shimmer as well, its a great highlight powder so is a great two in one product
- MAC All That Glitters - I got this a few weeks ago and have been wearing it almost everyday, I think its a great basic colour, so glad I finally got this
- MAC Pink Fish - This gives such a nice colour, is the perfect everyday pink on me
- GOSH Darling - I have recently been wearing this a lot, the lipstick is such a nice texture, its really creamy and moisturising
- Redken Heat Glide serum - I've been using this as a while as my heat protector as my hair doesn't really like sprays, but it also works great as a serum, really tames my hair and gives it shine, this means i can cut down on the products i use on my hair
- Herbal Essences - have only been using this for about a week but so far so good, I've been using the shampoo and conditioner for dry hair and it smells amazing!
- L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss - I used this on my hair about a week ago and my hair condition doesn't seem any different than before which is good, the colour also still seems really good. Am definitely going to use this when i dye my hair again
- Tangle Teezer -I mentioned this in an earlier post but its great at getting out all the tangles I get in my hair everyday, would take about 10 minutes with a normal hairbrush but takes about a minute with this brush
Today's makeup
Hey girlies,
If you follow me on Twitter then you will know that I've had an essay to do this week and as always when I have work due I tend to spend a lot more time on my hair and makeup, or anything really just to escape from work. So this morning I spend ages doing full makeup, well full makeup for me I'm sure to many it still seems quite simple, but this is about as fancy as I get, i'm still learning and playing :) I went for a quite nice summery look with a lot of pink!
This is the finished look:
I used:
GOSH Velvet Touch Primer
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Foundation in NW20
MAC Tippy blush (this is the first time I've used it, I love it!)
MAC MSF in Blonde over the top of my blush for a bit of shimmer
Bourjois Shimmering Shine Liquid Eyeshadow in Rose Electron all over my lid
MAC Knight in the outer corner
and then L'oreal Telescopic Mascara
And here's a closer look at my eyes:
Hope you all like it :)

- Herbal essences - Kelly recommended this to me and I used it tonight, I used the one for dry hair and it smells gorgeous and so far my hair is looking very shiny :)
- Essay extension - I'm gonna apply for an extension on my essay because I've just been so stressed lately, hopefully they'll give me a few more days to do it which will make a big difference
- My dad - spoke to him this evening for ages, mostly he just rambled about his computer doing a virus scan, but he said he'd call me again in a few days because I'm living alone at the moment :)
- Moon River grand duo - I really love this colour, I'm quite pale so I can get away with wearing this as a blush, and it gives me a gorgeous subtle glow
Out
- Constantly eating junk food - I get so stressed doing essays that I just let myself snack on rubbish, but this time I've been doing essays for 3 weeks so haven't got back to my normal eating habit yet :(
- My boyfriend leaving - he came to visit me for 2 days but has gone home again now so I can get on with my essay
- Dropping my tub of herbal essences hair mask - I bought this a few weeks ago when it was in the clearance section of Boots and I love it, but now I've dropped about half of it down the sink, saved as much as I could but am still very sad
- Spots - I can feel so many spots on my forehead, its really depressing, if anyone has any recommendations for skin care then please let me know!

New hair colour!
So I've been considering dyeing my hair back to its natural colour for a while because I just cant afford to get my highlights re-done, and wont be able to afford the hairdressers for many months, so on Saturday morning I finally did it! I'm actually quite pleased with it, if you gave me a choice I would have highlights put back in straight away, but this is the only affordable option.
This is my hair on Friday, the day before I dyed it, looking nice and blonde:
This is another pic of how it used to look, but in similar lighting to the after pic so you can see the difference better:
I used Casting Creme Gloss in Golden Honey. I love this dye, I've used it before in about 3 or 4 different colours, it smells good, I love the bottle the dye goes in because its really easy to hold and squeeze to get the dye out, and it's a semi-permanent so isn't as damaging to my hair. The only issue I have with it is that the conditioner that comes with the dye isn't that conditioning, it smells great but always leave my hair feeling quite rough and dry, which i don't get with other dyes. But putting some leave in conditioner before you dry your hair usually helps.
I did a strand test before to check how long to leave it on because I've heard blonde/bleached hair sucks up dye but i ended up leaving mine on for the full 20 mins.
These are the after pics:
This is this afternoon, excuse the lack of make-up:
Its quite close to my natural colour, if you look closely you can still see the inch of roots but it blends much better than before! And its definitely looking better now that its a bit darker, it looks a lot shinier :) I think it'll probably fade quite quickly so may have to do it again soon, but pleased so far!
Hope you all enjoyed this. If you have any questions just let me know :)

Sorry I've not been around much, haven't been on the internet much this weekend, but once my essay is handed in on Friday then I'm gonna catch up on everything I've missed, so expect lots of internet activity from me on Friday and Saturday!
Hope you're all well
xoxo
- New tv - have watched new Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill and Grey's Anatomy today, so glad that I will have new episodes to watch every week again
- Naps - had an amazing nap this afternoon, sleeping in a warm sunny room always helps me sleep really well
- Going home in 2 weeks - I live within walking distance of a Sallys, and we apparently have a CCO at home! Have never been to either of these before and am so excited!
- My new shirt - I bought a turquoise-y check shirt from H&M last week and i love it! Have worn it almost non-stop! If i had a decent mirror in my room i would take a pic of it but dont so may have to try sneak into my housemates rooms to use their mirrors so i can show you all
- Being poor - I have officially run out of money, but my Dad is giving me some and hopefully that will come through tomorrow so I'll be able to buy food again, although I think we all know that I'm poor because my money was spent on MAC
- Having a broken vacuum cleaner at home - am gonna buy my mum a new vacuum cleaner for mothers day which isn't exactly what i had planned, and will probably be quite expensive, but she'll appreciate the effort from me :)
- The inbetween weather - today while I was out it went from being warm enough to just wear a t-shirt, then I was cold even though I had my jumper on, then it changed again, i wish it would just be warm and sunny constantly
- Essays - have 2 more essays to do before i can go home and i dunno how to answer either of them! Have been getting terrible marks for my essays this term so just wanna hide away from them but cant :( but these will be the last 2 essays of this degree so that's something i guess!

My makeup today
This is the first post I've ever done like this, I probably wont do many as to be honest I don't normally do makeup thats good, or exciting, enough worth to show everyone.
This look is vaguely based on a picture Emma (MagpieSparkles) posted on Twitter this morning of Effy from Skins makeup in the latest episode.
And my eyes close up, you cant really see them in the other photo.
Its not amazing, and have only really done my eyes, but thought I'd be brave and post the pics anyway.
I used:
Maybelline Mineral Powder foundation in Vanilla Rose
Maybelline Line Definer in Black Onyx on my upper lid
Bourjois Regard Effet Metallise in 54 Bleu Clinquant on my lower lid
L'Oreal Telescopic on my lashes
Hope you guys like it

TAG: Random Photo
I was tagged for this by the lovely MakeupLover_X so thank you :)
You have to:
- Go to the 4th folder in your computer where you store your pictures
- Pick the 4th picture in that folder
- Explain the picture
- Tag 4 people to do the same
My photo:
This is from when me and my mum went to New York in December 2003 when I was 15, this was the view from my hotel room. The trip was really good, and i got my first ever MAC there, but I don't remember too much about the trip and don't have that many photos so definitely want to visit again soon!
I tag:
- Natalie from Tillyness86
- Tallulah Bella

- Coke - I am well and truly addicted to this! Gonna try and quit over the Easter holidays i think but what with all my essays to do right now I don't think caffeine withdrawal symptoms would help
- Lush - I went in today and bought my first item, have bought things as presents but never for myself, got a creamy candy bubble bar
- Having the flat to myself tonight - my housemates are both gonna be out this eve, maybe not for long but long enough for me to use my new bubble bar without being disturbed, I can't wait!
- Pink nail varnish - wanted something to cheer myself up last night so put on my Bourjois bubblegum pink nail varnish, it keeps making me smile every time i see my nails
Out
- Being really tired - only slept about 4 hours last night and am fighting to stay awake today in the hope that i sleep better tonight
- Exams - i have exams in May and June which is still a few months away but i have so much reading to catch up on before then, its very scary!
- Wisdom teeth - I have one of mine coming through and its really starting to annoy me, I already have two but they came through without really bothering me

- My tangle teezer - I completely forgot i had this until i saw themakeupdiaries hair video on youtube recently, I use mine on dry hair rather than wet but it makes it so much easier to get through all the knots i get!
- GHDs - I've been wearing my hair wavy for a few weeks now but straightened it yesterday and it looks about an inch longer :) which seeing as I'm growing my hair is very good
- Baths - i had one this evening after i was feeling a bit upset and after about 20 minutes in a warm, bubbly bath I felt so much better. Don't know how i survived without a bath at home for the last 6/7 years
- Dyeing my hair dark blonde/light brown - still don't really want to do this but cant afford my highlights anymore, but after seeing thismodernpanda's pic of her new brown hair i'm actually quite excited for a change
- Twitter - I'm well and truly addicted! I have to go on it daily, I love telling everyone about my life/day and I love hearing what everyone else is up to too! Was on Twitter on my iPod touch in my lecture this morning and it made the 2 hours go much quicker. Add me on Twitter if you don't already have me, I'm misslmscott :)
Out
- Having about 20 more pages of reading to do before bed, but my lecturer really scares me so have to make sure I've read it, understood it, and remember it for tomorrow morning
- Having to try dye my hair soon - gonna do it in 2ish weeks if i decide to, have dyed my hair myself before so hopefully it'll be ok but i still get a little scared it'll go wrong every time i do it
- Cupcakes - I posted a pic of the cupcakes i made at the weekend, but i made about 30 and my other housemates aren't really eating them so I'm having a few a day and am kinda getting sick of them!
Hope you're all ok

Advice needed!
Ok so despite me saying that in my hair history blog that i love my hair being blonde and that i was gonna keep it blonde from now on, I now cant afford to get it dyed for quite a while. My shower is broken at home so i need the money to give to my mum so that she can finally have hot showers again, she's had no warm showers for far too long :( and i just feel too bad spending like £80 on my hair when we have a broken shower!
So I want your advice on whether i should just leave my hair as it is, or try dye it at home back to my natural colour until i can have it blonde again. If you look in my hair history blog you can see my hair colour now, and my roots are a dark blonde, they don't look too bad but they're only about an inch now so you cant really see them but if i leave them then soon I'll have two-toned hair which I'm not sure if i want!
Also does anyone have any advice on dying blonde hair? I've only ever re-dyed it once the hairdresser has done the hard bit!
Thanks lovelies

Stressed!
Firstly thank you to Av and makeupmadb for your comments on my last post about my hair, for some reason I cant do comments, even on my own blog! So wanted to thank you here for those, I really appreciate your input!
I am so stressed right now and so thought I would do a blog post, sorry if this is annoying but just need to rant a bit!
My internet is going so slow right now, my 2 housemates are both watching stuff online and are on Skype so for some reason my internet has slowed to a halt! But think they've both finally gone to bed now so the internet will come back to full speed soon :)
And my main annoyance is my make up, my foundation in particular! I've been using MAC Mineralize Satinfinish for quite a while now but I've kinda been slack with my skin care and have loads of spots right now (am actually gonna put on the sudocrem right now) but it just isn't covering them and even with concealer my skin still looks really bad. I need to find something with better coverage until my skin is better, but am so poor cos my housemate keeps forgetting to pay me back all the money she owes me for bills :(
Put on the plus side, I've just started watching The City, I've been addicted to The Hills forever so am hoping that I like The City but to be honest I'm kinda getting fed up with how obviously fake these tv shows are, I mean they always were fake but they hardly even try and hide it now!
And i finally finished my essay which I was complaining all over Twitter about, but its done and I had a lovely weekend relaxing, and did some shopping, and me and my friend baked some cupcakes :)

Hair history
I've seen that makeupdiaries did this on her youtube channel, and i think a few other people may have done this, and seeing as my hair changes a fair bit i thought I'd show you some photos :) I warn you now that in a lot of these photos i have no make up on and i don't have the best skin! And i am alone in all of these photos but i do have friends honest! :)
September 2003 - This photo was taken when i was about 15 i think. Its one of the few photos i have that shows my natural hair colour, I've been dying my hair since i was about 16 so don't really know what colour my hair is anymore.
June 2005 - I'm 16 here, this was after the first time i dyed it and went blonde properly and i've loved it ever since, think this is also the longest its ever been.
April 2007 - This is the only time I've ever been dark, i put myself in the hairdresser's control and he slapped a chocolate brown all over my head. I did quite like it, although i look quite pale here, and it was much easier to keep up than blonde as i just kept dying it myself. I kept it like this for quite a while as it faded to quite a nice light brown.
May 2008 - This was my hair either after it had just faded from the dark brown or i had tried to dye it blonde, I'm useless at dying my hair blonde myself, can never get it light enough.
June 2008 - I had some highlights put in, think it was a bit blonder than it looks in this photo.
July 2008 - This is one of my favourite colours and styles.
August 2008 - I got fed up of long hair and had it all cut off.
September 2008 - I couldn't afford to have my hair dyed anymore so had it dyed back to what my hairdresser thought was my natural hair colour. Looking back at photos i quite like it this colour but at the time I just constantly wanted it blonder.
Now - This is how my hair is now, it's back to being blonder, has about an inch of roots but hides it really well, think I'll keep it this colour for a while, until i can afford the upkeep of having it blonder anyway.
I'm hope you guys enjoyed that, I always love being nosy and looking at other people's photos so thought I'd post some for you.
And finally I want your advice, I'm gonna have my hair cut in a few weeks and cant decide whether to grow it long again or to have it cut back into the bob that it was last summer, what do you all think?
Hope you're well
xoxo

In and Out 3
In
Out
- MAC 'On the Prowl' nail polish - I used this for the first time tonight, I love the colour so much! Am considering buying a back up of this as i don't want it to ever run out!
- Getting my reading done - have stayed up late as i wanted to do my reading and write up notes, still have loads of work to do but feel really good for getting this done, its a step in the right direction!
- Having a hot shower today - forgot how much better showers are when they're warm! Normally our shower goes from cold to lukewarm whenever it feels like, is so annoying.
- My roots not being that bad - have just worked out that i haven't had my highlights done for 8 weeks and they don't look that bad, but it also means my hair hasn't grown much which is annoying when seeing as i'm trying to grow it
- Twitter - I always see something on there that makes me smile and cheer up everyday
Out
- Weather - the weather here is horrible, there's heavy rain and its so windy, it was practically spring yesterday, i dunno where its gone
- Student life - because we haven't done any washing up for ageswe shoved everything in the dishwasher but then realised we only had 1 clean saucepan and no clean cutlery, so we had to wash the saucepan 4 times just to make 2 dinners and we used plastic cutlery!
- Spots - I've started getting loads of spots, my skin is normally fairly good and i only have about 2 spots at most but right now i have about 7 and nearly my whole face is covered in sudocrem
Mini update
Hi guys,
So i know my blog has been a bit boring lately, I've been really busy with uni work so haven't had much time to do any interesting posts, unfortunately my work isn't slowing down anytime soon, but i do have some plans for blog posts i want to do. I'm gonna do a few posts on my hair and hair care, I love all things related to hair and am constantly buying new hair products, I think that's why I've started to become addicted to make up, just so that i stop buying hair products. I'm also gonna post pics of my hello kitty and my bbr stuff. Think that's all for now, but I'm sure as soon as i start writing my essays that I'll suddenly think of great ideas for blog posts, and i do love a good distraction!
Hope you're all well :)
